Inshore Shark Charter

Our most popular inshore fishing charter.  No, not the 'Mary Lee' nor JAWS type of shark A smaller 3-5' coastal EATABLE (we will even share our recipes with you) shark such as Finetooth, Atlantic Sharpnose or Bonnethead.  A four hour trip is $79.00 per person, minimum of three people, maximum of five.  BEWARE! This charter is an adrenaline rush and most definitely addictive..

Wreck/Reef Inshore Charter

For over five years now, anglers have been reliving the excitement of flounder fishing that we had back in the 70's and 80's when there were no regulations and the flounder were plentiful When the Virginia Marine Resource Commission decided to create an artificial reef using 3-4 Army tanks and 100 New York City subway cars, one had no idea what a fishing mecca that was being created. This reef, Blackfish Banks, is only a 27 minute boat ride from the Chincoteague Inlet and is approximately three miles off of Assateague Island. Flounder, Spadefish, Trout, Sea Bass, Red Fish and even Striper (all when in season) can be found forging for food in these sunken structures. 95% of the charters come back to the docks with their limit of flounder - big ones, too! On this charter, you pay for the whole boat.  It is a 6 1/2 hour trip, everything is provided as noted above for inshore charters, and the rate covers four people for $650.00, additional person is $50.00. the maximum on the boat not including the mate and captain is five people. Call WELL in advance to make reservations.

Offshore (Blue Water) Charters

Offshore fishing is very popular in the nearby waters. Most anglers that fish in the waters of the Atlantic focus on shark and tuna fishing although this is only part of the action to be had. As Spring gives way to Summer, the weather improves and many anglers head out in search of fish off the Virginia coast. Bluefish signal the start of the season, appearing on the 20 fathom line in May. On their heels are the Mako, Blue and Thresher Sharks. Not long after, the bluefin tuna arrive to local waters. Further offshore, early season warm water eddies sometimes bring yellowfin tuna, dolphinfish and even marlin within range as early as Memorial Day. By July, catches of bluefin and yellowfin tuna increase and chunking for tuna becomes a popular technique. The last few years warmer waters from the Gulf Stream have even brought Cobia and Wahoo within range of anxious anglers. Offshore prices vary in cost depending upon the captain and size of the vessel, from $1195.00 to $2500.00. Offshore trips are normally 10 - 12 hours, and everything is included.  Offshore and wreck charters require a  25% deposit when the charter is booked and must be paid in full two weeks prior to the charter date.  Should inclement weather force the captain to cancel, a full refund will be given. The captain is the only one that can cancel the trip. Call for departure times..

As in any service industry, tips are customary depending upon the quality of service received.  Due to increasing fuel cost, a fuel surcharge may be forthcoming.
