The waters surrounding Chincoteague are still providing action with red drum, some black drum, flounder, spec trout and the increasing migration of striper from the north. Keeper flounder still hitting jumbo minnows sandwiched with fake baits or squid while reds are hitting fake baits. Striper picky in their taste hitting on cut baits, peeler or bloodworm scented squid. Baby sea bass from Beebe Road north to the Town Pier.
Reports also of nice size sheepshead being caught spreading out from Queen Sound bridge around to the Assateague Channel between Memorial Park & Toms Cove.
A few shark are lingering although outside of the Inlet. The surf producing much of the same.
Not much reported from the Subway Cars nor the ocean. Crabs - still a bonus.
